We're in the business of hosting great ideas.

Since Media Temple began in 1998, we’ve been on a mission to help web developers, designers, digital entrepreneurs, and innovators bring their ideas to life online.

In 16 years, we’ve seen a lot of technology trends come and go. But one thing has never changed: our commitment to our customers’ success. It’s what drives us to offer the best web hosting service and support available anytime, anywhere.

Today, our premium web hosting and cloud services power more than 1.5 million websites in 100 different countries. Over 125,000 people and businesses rely on our simple tools for web hosting, one-click WordPress installs, virtual servers, domain registration, business applications, and other cloud services. From everyday people to top bloggers, creative professionals, and businesses small and large, we make it easy for anyone to have an effective, engaging Internet presence.

We’ve been repeatedly recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in North America and one of the best places to work in L.A.

Why choose Media Temple?

Service

Ask our customers why they choose Media Temple, and you’ll hear about our stellar, end-to-end service and support. Our U.S.-based support teams are here 24/7/365 — by chat, Twitter, phone, or support request — to answer your questions and keep your sites up and running. Supporting customers is how 90% of our staff spend their time.

Products

From the simplest personal project to the biggest business site, we have a hosting platform that fits you perfectly. Few web hosts offer everything from world-class shared hosting with one-click WordPress installs to Linux-based VPS hosting and even a private cloud service—but we do.

Value

When you compare the real costs, Media Temple gives you more for your money. Faster hardware, smarter software, and top-notch support might cost a few more dollars, but we think they’re worth it. And our customers agree.

Innovation

We’re turned on by new ideas and new technology. And whether we’re providing free infrastructure for open source projects and events, investing in creative innovators around the world, or advocating for a more open Internet, we put our money where our mouths (and hearts) are. It’s the same spirit that’s driven us to develop our own products, from building one of the web’s original public clouds (the Grid) to partnering with Dell and MorphLabs to create the first OpenStack-powered private cloud service (Helix).

this helps but I'm still awfully cefsunod. the new version (alpha 2) has no password generator that I can find (for OSX). And I still can't figure out how it works. Do I need to open the database every time I need a password, and then copy and paste it to the website? That seems awfully complicated, and not really more secure than my pwords.txt file.
